Eastern Pa 60's Soul / Various
This 29-track collection from the mastertapes includes all of the soul and blue-eyed soul highlights of Clay Barclay's tape vault. Most of this material was released on singles that are as rare as hen's teeth. Borrowing heavily from the Gambel-Bell ballad, the James Brown soul, and Motown sounds, these groups provided small-town Pennsylvania with a groove that hasn't been heard since. Includes the Traditions, Vic & The Catalinas, James & The Incredible Showmen, Intentions, Bobby Penn & The Penpals, Furys, and Motiques.
