'A Gentlemens Guide to Sophisticated Savagery' is the first release from Los Angeles dandys Smash Fashion.It was released in 2006 after the band had been playing the LA club circiut for around 2 years.It was singer songwriter Roger Deerings return to rock and roll music after a 10 year hiatius.Smash fashion was and is a reaction to the lack of showmanship and fun missing in so much of todays 'rock' acts.The release has gatherd a cult following the world over.Scene maker Rodney Binginheimer had 'A Gentlemens Guide' in his top 10 for the year...many have called it a powerpop masterpiece...One thing for sure,Smash fashion have forged a a sound that is all their own...harder than most powerpop groups and more melodic than most of the harder sounding bands today.....It's a place that Smash fashion feel right at home in.... The Songs And what a bunch of songs they are! Songs that arrive fully developed, some having a timeless "already a classic" feel. From balls out rockers to lush ballads, not many bands can cover as much ground, stylistically and emotionally as Smash Fashion.
