James Gunn writes and directs this sci-fi action sequel in which Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper reprise their roles as the Marvel Comics superheroes known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. As Peter Quill (Pratt) mourns the loss of his Gamora (Saldana), her surviving past self has left the Guardians and joined the Ravagers. When Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) attacks and grievously injures Rocket (voice of Cooper), the Guardians join forces with the Ravagers to save their friend's life and must battle the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji), a dangerous eugenicist.
As they fight to save Rocket, they uncover painful secrets from his past. The cast also includes Elizabeth Debicki, Sean Gunn and Sylvester Stallone.
