Stationed in the jungles of Colombia, Avery has managed to embed herself within a group of missionaries fronted by the renowned and respected leader El Guero. When Avery witnesses El Guero committing a violent crime, catching every second on film, she faces a difficult decision: publish the footage and expose El Guero for the criminal he is or keep quiet and not get caught up in the crime. El Guero, meanwhile, is made aware of the evidence and goes on a rampage to capture Avery and her camera, sending Avery fleeing into the deep, dark jungle.
