Orson Welles' twisting cinematic gem of style and suspense is set in a seedy Mexican border town, where the investigation into the murder of an American businessman puts a newly married Mexican narcotics cop (Charlton Heston) at odds with his corrupt U.S. counterpart (Welles). Janet Leigh, Akim Tamiroff, Joseph Calleia, and Marlene Dietrich also star. Includes the restored 1998 re-release version of the film, featuring the editing and musical alterations Welles suggested in a 58-page memo to the studio, as well as the original theatrical cut and a special "preview version" of the film. 111 min./96 min./109 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English DTS Lossless stereo; Subtitles: English; audio commentary by Heston, Leigh, others; theatrical trailer; featurettes. Three-disc set.
