C tops H2O? Water, popularly characterized as being so essential for life, isn't our only sustaining gift. Water for all of its wonder and incredible properties, literally and figuratively rests upon terra firma. Water, comprising 3/4 of the planet's global surface, is essentially in the cup of the stony Earth, and held in further place by the motion of material bodies through space. Our bodies, at 68% water, are also similarly and actually shaped and held in form by our bodies as a receptacle.
