This has necessitated the commercial banks for the better satisfaction of their customers which in turn has to absorb new technologies. However, the public sector banks are slow absorbers. Given that banks absorb huge government's fund which has got high opportunity cost, the poor performance of the banks reflects in the performance of the economy.
