He was born in the Katanga province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is also a peace activist and practitioner. He uses his work to promote artistic expression as a means of conflict transformation and maintain mental well-being, spiritual growth, and healing. He has traveled extensively around the world as a lecturer and advisor for various institutions, volunteers and humanitarian organizations.
