We're losing teachers every day in body or in spirit because they are often unappreciated, overworked, challenged by the public school system's rules and regulations, and/or completely left out of building, and participating in the leadership of the academic setting they were once committed to. This isolative environment between teachers and the leadership often causes low teacher self-esteem. Many educators feel left out of the development of the school's mission, purpose, and operation. In many schools faculty meetings are non-existent, and faculty members are required to schedule appointments with the principal in advance, before being given an audience, therefore leaving teachers with little recourse for communication with leadership.
