Palyno-taxonomy of Some Selected Taxa of Family Aytoniaceae Cavers Afroz Alam

The study of ?Palyno-taxonomy of some selected taxa of family Aytoniaceae Cavers?, has been presented in this book. The study includes palyno-taxonomy of seven species of Asterella Beauv. Five species of Plagiochasma Lehm. et Lindenb., and one species each of Cryptomitrium Austin, Mannia Opiz. and Reboulia Raddi. The morphological characteristics of sporoderm and elateroderm have been given. This work has been presented in six chapters, including introduction and review of literature on spore and elater morphology in relation to palyno-taxonomy. The next sections include description, discussion and conclusion of investigated taxa of family Aytoniaceae. The structure of spores and elaters of the plants collected from various localities of the country have been provided. The specimens examined are located in the Hepatic herbarium, Department of Botany, Lucknow University, Lucknow (LWU). The present title is an effort to make available authentic and standard study material related to Palynology of selected taxa of order Marchantiales.
