Have you ever had someone say something to you that wasn't intentionally supposed to hurt you yet it impacted you and your way of thinking about yourself? Robin White remembers standing at a hamburger place begging to have french fries like most kids do. Her mother looked at her and said "fat girls don't eat french fries" She never forgot those words. It was her mother's way of saying she wasn't perfect.

The purpose of fat girl don't eat french fries is to help women, mothers and daughters to communicate and support each other in tough times, to understand situations young people often go through, to learn to deal with issues in a healthy manner, and to develop healthy adults.

"When I felt support and love I thrived" says Robin. "When I felt I was less than adequate I rebelled. I would internalize and eat more."
