This book is second in a three-part investigation which begins with What Was Freedom's Price? and concludes with Have We Overcome? Race Relations since Brown, 1954-1979. All three are available again in paperback from University Press of Mississippi. Robert Haws is Chair of the Department of Public Policy Leadership at the University of Mississippi.
