A poem a week to raise the awareness of phonograms and advanced phonics rules, including curriculum-related poems for creative writing, math and science. 40 poems are included to share the rhythm and cadence of poetry and to share the joy of poetic language with your students. These poems focus on phonograms with long vowel sounds, the sounds of u, r-controlled vowels, diphthongs, and other vowel variants; also presented are consonant digraphs, blends, and more! The suggestions that accompany each poem ensure that you can enjoy the poetry with your students, while at the same time introducing, teaching, or reviewing relevant phonic elements.
