As we age, we gather knowledge through our life experiences and through our interactions with others. Much of our learning is from mistakes that are made. Fortunately we do not have to personally make all the mistakes ourselves to gain this knowledge. That is where learning from others comes in. For most of us, our parents are the first and primary guides as we navigate life. A father?s perspective is different than a mother?s point of view. This guide is a random collection of thoughts and insights that I have collected in my many years of figuring things out. Some were taught to me by my father and grandfather. Some I figured out on my own, learning from mistakes. And some are just sayings that I have come across and liked. Ron Hartman is a father who has lived enough years to have learned a few things. A father of two adult children, he has made his share of mistakes. But he continues to live and learn and hopes that at least some of what he has tried to pass on has made the paths of others a little easier.
