On Planet Ice, everything is cold and white, even the people, who have never seen any other color. The ice-dudes and ice-dudettes of the planet are very sad; they don't play or listen to music or have friends.
One of them, a sad little girl named Icelena, often wonders whether there are any other places that were more fun than Planet Ice. One day, she wanders away from home, exploring and trying to find somewhere less dull. Suddenly she stumbles on a colorful hidden cave full of people who are not only colorful but also happy and full of life. Where did they come from? And can Icelena learn to be like them?
