To encourage a spiritual process (with King Solomon's Biblical help!) for dealing with life's many challenges, academic or otherwise. The author, a retired college professor, husband, parent, and church layman, has taught and interacted with students for nearly forty years. The author writes in an easy style intended both to entertain and inform the new college student with daily devotional thoughts for approximately one semester.
