I Did Not Ask For This: A Candid Discussion on Sexual Assault studies sexual assault and how this sociological problem is continuing to plague every family in our society. Most people either knows some one who has been sexually assaulted or have been a victim- themselves. Sexual predators come from every walk of life and will assault anyone who appears to be fair game regardless of that person's : Age, Race , Gender or socio-economic status. Dr. Gayle reviews this topic from a victim/victors' perspective using vital statistics and "real talk" with the express purpose of teaching the public about the physiological and psychological chains that sexual assault has on its constituents . It is also design to encourage dialogue about this topic so that communties can develop ways of not only protecting females but also their male conterparts. Limited discussion is given to the male victim of sexual assault. Historically, Critics do not want to address this population because of the implications that it has on the males' ability to protect themselves. However, because of the escalating numbers of sexual assaults in the male population-this group was addressed. Finally we address three cases of sexual assault outlined in the bible and ascertain what God says about it. We can no longer allow this societal ill to remain like the "Pink Elephant"in the living room that no one talks about. We must eliminate this problem!
