For the past sixteen years, Dr. Roddy has served as co-director and area supervisor for the Bethsaida Excavations Project, a significant archaeological site located at the foot of the Golan Heights near the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee. He also co-directs the Virtual World Project, a web-based virtual reality resource dedicated to Syro-Palestinian archaeology. In addition, Dr. Roddy is Faculty Associate for the Goren-Goldstein Center for Judaic Studies at the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest, Romania. He is the author of &ltI>The Romanian Version of the Testament of Abraham: Text, Translation, and Cultural Context&lt/I> (2001) as well as numerous book chapters and journal articles in biblical studies and archaeology.

Contributor Bio:  Hovhanessian, Vahan S Vahan S. Hovhanessian holds a Ph. D. in Biblical studies from Fordham University in New York. He is Professor of Biblical Studies at the St. Nersess Armenian Seminary in New Rochelle, New York, and Visiting Professor of Biblical Studies at the Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey. He has published books and articles in the English, Arabic, and Armenian languages in the fields of Biblical studies, Pauline theology, New Testament pseudepigrapha, and the early Church in the East. He is the chairman of the Bible in the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Traditions unit of the Society of Biblical Literature.
