Jan Coates has been a well seasoned temp for many years, working for a few Recruitment Agencies, in Harrogate and Leeds, covering many many assignments and different environments such as Law, Hospitals, Social Services, TV, Hotels, Financial Advisors, Building Contractors, Colleges and Private Hospitals etc.
Observant, witty and good humoured, Jan started a couple of years ago making notes for this book, which all started as she stood on the cold and damp platform awaiting the 8.08 train from Harrogate to Leeds. Most people read on their journey, but Jan was always so absorbed by her fellow passengers, their loud conversations and disgusting habits! These larger than life characters prompted Jan to put pen to paper as a prelude and introduction to her book ?the Other Side of the Office? where she started to observe the office environment too as a temp, where there worked the good, the bad and the ugly!
