The dominant society throughout history has consistentlyexploited the aboriginal people who stood between them andwhat they wanted. To understand the aboriginal people, one has to understand thehistory of what has happened. Too often history almostcompletely ignores the story of the aboriginal people. At best, they become a footnote to the history of the dominant people. This story attempts to tell a story from the aboriginalprospective. This is one small piece of Canadian history.
